Dick Sem has 40 years' security management experience including serving as Director of Security and Crisis Management for Waste Management and Vice President of Pinkeron/Securitas. He has been board certified as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) since 1979 and is certified as a Certified Security Consultant (CSC). He is a former President of the International Security Management Association (ISMA) and Vice President of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC). He is a member of ASIS, SHRM, ACHE, IAPSC, IAHSS and Infragard.
Who We Serve
We serve hospitals and other healthcare operations, manufacturers, food producers, chemical plants, corporate headquarters, schools, libraries, colleges and office buildings.
As expert witness we serve counsel in cases regarding workplace violence and premises liability involving retail, apartments, industrial, hotels, hospitals, retirement communities, psychiatric facilities, taverns, schools, colleges, libraries, etc.
Workplace Violence
We have extensive experience supporting clients with the four components of workplace violence planning: prevention, mitigation/threat management, response and recovery. We have worked with clients that had experienced workplace violence incidents, including five hospitals that had experienced shootings, and bring lessons learned to our work. We perform workplace violence program assessments; develop related policies, plans and procedures; and develop and present training programs for all levels of employees and managers.
